Larnaca

History

Larnaca is a truly historic city built on the ancient ruins of Kition and it is believed that it has a history extending for more than 4000 years.  After Roman times the city became the main port of the island.  Today, Larnaca has developed a modern outlook whilst still maintaining many traditions and upholding its hospitality and welcoming attitude towards visitors.

Business Opportunities

Larnaca significantly supports the economy of Cyprus.  It has a commercial port and marina and the country’s primary airport (Larnaca International Airport, LCA).  There is also an oil refinery which lies to the north of the city.  The construction, real estate, and finance industries have been booming in recent years which makes Larnaca a prosperous city to live and invest in.
